Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the local history of Galashiels. 
Members may join at any club event or by contacting the Membership Secretary.
The subscription rate of £12.00 per year gives free admission to all club events. (The summer syllabus occasionally includes visits to establishments where an entry fee is required, and this is not included in the Old Gala Club membership).
As a registered Scottish Charity (Charity No SC034141) we are able to apply to Inland Revenue for the return of tax paid on membership fees. Those who are standard taxpayers will be given the opportunity to complete a Gift Aid form when joining.
Non-members are always welcome to attend meetings for an small donation ( £4.00 is suggested).
In winter, the Club events are held in the Volunteer Hall, Galashiels ,TD1 3JX at 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings (unless stated otherwise). See Syllabus for details.
In summer, we visit places of interest.
